Everything you need to know about embroidery digitizing, our process, and working with us.

01

Getting Started

What is embroidery digitizing?

Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting artwork — logos, text, graphics — into a stitch file (.DST, .PES, .JEF, etc.) that an embroidery machine can read and execute. It's not just tracing; a skilled digitizer programs stitch direction, density, underlay, color sequence, and more for your specific fabric and application.

What do I need to send you to get started?

We just need your artwork — in any format (JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, or even a clear photo). Along with that, let us know: (1) where the design is going (hat, shirt, jacket, uniform badge, etc.), (2) what fabric it will be on, and (3) what machine format you need.

Do you digitize uniform badges?

Yes. We digitize police, security, fire and EMS, school, and corporate uniform badges and crests, with the fine lettering and detail these designs need.

I only have a low-resolution image. Can you still digitize it?

Yes — we can work from almost any source image, including low-res files. However, very fine details may need to be simplified for embroidery. We'll let you know if there are any concerns before we start.

Do I need to provide a vector file?

No. A raster image (JPG, PNG, etc.) works fine. A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG) is helpful for complex logos with fine detail, but it's not required.

Turnaround & Delivery

How fast do you deliver?

Our normal turnaround is 6–8 hours. If you need it sooner, rush orders are delivered in a few hours. Just ask for a rush when you request your quote.

What format will my file be delivered in?

We deliver in whatever format you specify. Tell us your machine make and model (or your preferred format) and we'll match it. Common formats include DST, PES, JEF, XXX, VP3, EXP, and EMB.

Can I get multiple formats for one design?

Yes. If you run more than one machine brand, tell us every format you need when you request your quote.

03

Revisions & Quality

What if the design doesn't stitch out right?

If a file doesn't run correctly because of how we digitized it, we revise it free of charge. Send us a photo or a description of the problem and we'll fix the file.

What if I want changes to the design after delivery?

Changes to the original design (resizing, adding text, changing colors) are considered new requests and may be quoted separately. Revisions to fix stitch quality issues are always free.

What affects how a design stitches out?

Your machine, fabric, backing, thread, and hooping all play a part. Tell us about them when you order and we'll digitize with your setup in mind.

04

Pricing & Orders

How much does digitizing cost?

Standard designs are $1.50 per 1,000 stitches, with a $10 minimum and a $55 maximum per design. Vector art conversion starts at $15. Complex portrait digitizing is quoted individually.

How do I pay?

Payment is made via PayPal. We invoice through PayPal after your quote is approved.

Is there a minimum order?

There's no minimum number of designs, so you can order a single design anytime. Each design has a $10 minimum price.

Do you offer flat prices or discounts?

Yes. Flat prices are available, and we offer discounts for consistent orders. Get in touch and we'll set something up for your volume.

Do you keep my designs on file?

Yes — we keep a copy of finished files in our archive so we can reissue them if you need the same file again. You can ask us to delete your files at any time.
